When someone insults you
its hard to be kind
and when someone hurts you it’s hard to be kind
and when someone throws a bicycle at your horse
its hard to be kind
and when someone takes away your liberties and freedom
its hard to be kind
and when someone wants things to change
its hard to be kind
and when you are set in your ways and challenged
its hard to be kind
and it’s hard to be kind
