Is all our Life, then but a dream
Seen faintly in the golden gleam
Athwart Time’s dark resistless stream?

Riots and looting – have politicians got understanding, public support or the power needed?

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:30 am by Aleksan

It is increasingly clear that mostly these are not riots by deprived people but looting by opportunistic teenagers lacking self disclipine, and who do not have adequate familial and community structures around them. Short term solution – Legal Process. Long term solution is about inequality, poverty, lack of educational opportunities – Political – but is there a political will for either solution? I hope so but I am not sure Politicians have the understanding, the support or the power to achieve change helpful to the majority and fair to all. Right now my feelings are for the victims not the perpetrators….

Sartre quotes

I hate victims who respect their executioners
So long as a man can look into the eyes of his oppressor, he is free
I have no need for good souls: an accomplice is what I wanted
