Wise words from the past….

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:43 am by Aleksan

Most successes are unhappy. That’s why they are successes—they have to reassure themselves about themselves by achieving something that the world will notice. AGATHA CHRISTIE (Zen wisdom indeed…what does this say about politicians?)

Jeff - even his trainers display infinite wisdom

climping is a word
it means not to know
clenched tight
mesmerized but confused
elated not enlightened
smiling not knowing why
what was it
a ricotta of ideology
a clash of distant values
mixed with a fruit juice
made palatable
for easy consumption
sore teeth, lobe strobe
of meant apparitions
keep waving your arm over the pool
reflections of the moon trapped.
all night never wiped clean

The Heart Sutra – Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha! or Beyond, Beyond, Completly Beyond, Utterly Beyond, Wake up, Laugh!

Posted in Uncategorized at 1:47 pm by Aleksan

The Heart Sutra
Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, when deeply practising
profound Prajna Paramita [Perfection of Wisdom]; clearly
saw that all five skandhas are empty and thus relieved all
‘Shariputra, form does not differ from emptiness, emptiness
does not differ from form. Form itself is emptiness,
emptiness itself form; sensations, perceptions, formations,
and consciousness
are also like this.
‘Shariputra, all dharmas are marked by emptiness. They
neither arise nor cease, are neither defiled nor pure, neither
increase nor decrease.
‘Therefore, given emptiness, there is no form, no sensation,
no perception, no formation, no consciousness; no eyes, no
ears, no nose, no tongue, no body, no mind, no form, no
sound, no smell, no taste, no touch, no object of mind, no
realm of sight . . . no realm of mind consciousness. There
is neither ignorance
nor extinction of ignorance, neither
old age and death nor extinction of old age and death. No
suffering, no cause, no cessation, no path. No knowledge
and no attainments. With nothing to attain a Bodhisattva
relies on Prajna Paramita [Perfection of Wisdom], and thus
the mind is without hindrance. Without hindrance,
there is
no fear. Far beyond all inverted views, this is Nirvana.
‘All Buddhas of past, present, and future rely on Prajna
Paramita and thereby attain unsurpassed, complete,
perfect enlightenment.
‘Therefore know Prajna Paramita as the great miraculous
mantra, as the great bright mantra, as the supreme mantra,
as the incomparable
which removes all suffering
and is true, not false, therefore, we proclaim the Prajna
Paramita mantra, the mantra that says:
Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha!’

I used to that, twice by Jeff Walker

Twice first time
unhappy choice
Don’t do it
You may continue
Only in your prefabricated ideal
Can you exist
Flailing failing, inhaling
Persist, parasitic mist of my mind
I exhale, am bound by sight
My frightened world, made dark
Through realising the only truth
Is secretly mine

Jefff has written a poem of recovery?

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:31 pm by Aleksan

Long time distant silence
Attention deficit awakening
Trivialities of existence
Compiled, resigned
Sat reading, nice view
The ash covers the earth like snow
The garden now a misnomer
I,ll make a snow man after lunch
He can be my friend
Fragments of delicate embroidered glass float by
And fill my lungs

Recovering slowly

Probably fatal

From the sick bed of Jeff Walker…we wish him a speedy recovery

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:35 am by Aleksan

You could see it in his eyes
Curiosity hidden beneath panic
Jerky movement, hesitant breath
Furtive reassuring glances
Time flies
I missed my own youth
now unfavorably what
Slender truth I fought to find
I know the future shakes
My hand still calm
Steel and ice at my core
Rusting, melting, autonomic
Random fluctuations
a record stylus
On bio feedback

The Cucumber Man

His many ways were
His body much
His days were always
He never really
As up and up he
So to his fate he

Lousy Poem

Jeffrey Walker wants a big house
A Palace
Is Jeffrey Walker a man or a mouse
We’ll see
Jeffrey Walker wants to shoot grouse
On a moor
But dear old Jeff is as daft as a louse
And very poor

Its not that its not real
Its not that its not fake
I know what it’s not
It’s not that I know
Words cant describe it, senses numbed
We are human and in decline
Its the little things
Hail the blow fly and nemotodes
The frog and the stork
This ball of molten rock, spins
Hurls through space, the same space, returning
We have learnt nothing
A teaching disability.

Please give generously to the Jeff walker, he wants a big house, can you
blame him charity.

…and so I chuckle…..

chuckle time

lightening axes now
at 13.22 hrs
british summer time
on the wet green grass
of the soft underbelly of middle england
it strikes and cleaves the oaken
body of a person
every person
no person
a synapse sparks in the void
all is past…shadow
history illusion dead
future not grieved feared regretted
future is not
only is

white fluffy clouds whizz
a decomposing leaf pulled curled by a worm
the ground rises and falls
greed needs protection
like a seed it falls to the ground
and grows
the branches long wave in the wind
aging is a passing phase
glances, eyes cast down, some memories make my eyes smile
mostly forgotten
lightening and an axe are my foe
i watch vigilantly, awake, alert
the stars move
as I contemplate a haunting dream
I am watching myself.
